copper tubes for LPG vehicles
Driving an LPG vehicle is safe, easy and, best of all, much cheaper than petrol or diesel.
Further to the recent enforcement of the new ECE/UNO R67- 01 norms, COPTECH doo has developed high pressure copper pipes for LPG (auto gas) vehicles able to successfully get through the very stringent tests it contemplates.
:: Our offer: High pressure soft copper tubes for LPG vehicles
Our copper tubes for LPG (autogas) vehicles are produced according to UN EC R67-01 regulative.

In our offer we have copper tubes with or without PVC cover with outside diameters Ø 6 and 8 mm with wall thickness 0.8, 0.9 and 1.0 mm.
Tubes have "ECE LPG 67r01" mark printed on it PVC cover.

* Values indicated in the table relate to outer diameter (excluding PVC coat). PVC coat thickness ranges from 1.4 to 2.0 mm.
** Copper tube weight only (excluding PVC coat).
*** Values indicated for pressure in the table above are computed for soft tubes, without PVC cover, with safety factor N=5. Values indicated for allowable pressure relate only to tubes, not to their joints.
Copper tubes are produced in Serbia according to Quality Management System ISO 9001:2000 and with mechanical properties according to EN 1057:2006 standard. EN 1057 is the European reference standard at continental level for the manufacture of copper gas and water tubes in water and heating applications. Copper tubes have minimally 99.90% of copper.

PVC coating reduce heat loss,
prevents burns
in users, protects copper tubes from aggressive environments and
prolongs its
service life. Plastic insulation layer is elastic and enables bending and all other working operations during
installation.
Material used to coat copper tubes is polyvinylchloride (PVC) of the following characteristics:
Density:
1400 - 1500 kg/m³
Elongation:
207 %

Auto
gas
is the term generally used for Liquefied
Petroleum Gas (LPG),
when it is used for the propulsion of road vehicles. LPG provides high
quality energy for Civil, industrial, handicraft, agricultural and
motor use.
The main component gases of Auto gas are propane
(C3H8) and butane
(C4H10).
Auto gas is
colorless, odorless and heavier than air. A sulphur based chemical
(ethyl mercaptan) is added to give it a smell, so that even a very
small leak can be easily detected. LPG Auto gas burns readily in air
and has an energy content similar to petrol, which makes it an
excellent fuel for automotive use. Already
4 million cars worldwide are running on LPG/ Auto gas and this figure
is fast increasing everyday.
The Safety Record
LPG
(Autogas, Elpiji, GPL, TNG, UNP..)
has an excellent
safety record throughout the world, both in terms of its storage,
transportation and use. Extensive safety tests have been undertaken
with respect to its use and the conclusions reached are that it is
substantially safer than petrol due to its more robust fuel tank being
more resistant to impact damage. Also the electronic solenoid valves
trip in case of an impact not allowing fuel to go beyond the circuit to
the engine. All tanks are fitted with relief valves that provides an
escape for the gas should the tank come in contact with extreme heat.
Tanks are not filled with more than 80% of total capacity. This ensures
there is sufficient room for the liquid to expand when heated or the
temperature being high.
Morever, in any eventuality of a leakage the gas escapes in the air and not remain in the engine like petrol to catch fire.
In fact the use of Auto gas is safer than Petrol as cylinders/tanks are kept horizontally in a car and adapter allows the liquid to flow all the way to magnetic valves before converting to gas.
